Event Description
Join local artist and gallery owner, Reid Sancken for a fun afternoon workshop on Monotype printmaking. Monotypes are made by painting on a smooth, non-absorbent surface which is then transferred onto paper creating a unique print to take home. Concepts & Objectives Learn the techniques of the Monotype printing process to create a unique print, utilizing a variety of mark making methods. Materials and Tools For the class we will supply you with all the materials you need in order to create your own Monotype. Participants are encouraged to bring an image, stencil, or a flat object (doily, leaf, etc) to create their print, but it is not required. Skill/Age Level This class is suitable for participants 11 years of age or older. Instructor Reid Sancken Cost $20 Class Size Limit 15 Class Policies Please be respectful of the short time you and the other participants have to learn, and arrive at least 5 minutes before class so we can start on time. If you come in late you disrupt the class and can easily miss important information. Cancellation of Class If minimum number is not met in class enrollment, the instructor may opt to cancel class. In the event of a cancellation you will be offered a spot in a future class. We will attempt to give as much notice as possible in the case of a cancellation. Parking There is free street parking available on Stewart St. right across from the front door, as well as a parking lot on the corner of Stewart St. and Allis St. Make a day of it!
